??University of Bahrain High Studies Dean Dr Huda Al Khaja said Bahrain hosting the 56th ICHPER.SD Anniversary World Congress and Exposition this weekend is a new achievement for the kingdom in its bid to become among leading nations to embrace major international events.
The congress is scheduled to take place from December 18 to 20 at the Crown Plaza Hotel with top scientists and researchers from 20 countries to present a number of researches.
Organized by the Bahrain Olympic Committee in cooperation with the International Council for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Sports and Dance (ICHPER.SD) and the University of Bahrain, the three-day conference will have an all-new theme “Towards Building a New Sport System”.
“The Kingdom of Bahrain leads the way in hosting several significant conferences, not only on the regional level, but also at globally,” said Dr Al Khaja.
“Hosting 56th ICHPER.SD Anniversary World Congress and Exposition clearly shows that Bahrain is always striving for excellence in the scientific and cultural sections”.
Dr Al Khaja added that bringing this event to Bahrain is also a result of efforts by Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the patron of the congress.
She noted that the congress will also have a positive influence on the University of Bahrain’s physical education faculty students, especially the master’s and doctoral students, as more than 50 will be in attendance.
