?Bahraini Rubik’s Cube champion Rashid Ahmed Al Hajri took third place and the bronze medal at the Wellspring Open 2017 in Ras Al Khaimah, in the UAE.
The young player’s result was commended by Bahrain Olympic Committee general secretary at a reception held at the committee premises in Seef.
In the presence of his parents, Al Hajri was congratulated by Askar on this honorable achievement and outstanding finish, which requires high skills and mental abilities.
Askar expressed his pride as Bahrain enjoys special young talents with remarkable skills and are able to compete on an international level with some of the world’s best Rubik’s Cube players.
On his part, Rashid’s father Ahmed Al Hajri thanked Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, and BOC President, who supports all Bahraini athletes, and especially his son, at this challenging event.
