The Assistant secretary-general of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) and general secretary of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, directed to participate in many events that are held to mark the Kingdom’s celebrations of its national day, in line with the BOC keenness on social partnership with the government and private sectors and celebrate this cherished occasion of the Bahraini people.
Head of the social networking committee at the BOC Fay Bu-Allay revealed that representatives of the committee will be present at the Bahrain International Airport and King Fahd Causeway to distribute souvenirs to visitors of the Kingdom, where the Committee, she said, has completed all arrangements to accomplish this matter in implementation of the directives by Askar.
“We hope to receive a positive participation in this occasion which is dear to our hearts, as it is a part of the BOC’s leading role to positively and effectively interact with all the events and national events. This occasion the anniversary of His Majesty the King access to the throne and the national day, are of the most important historical events characterize the Bahraini identity and reinforce the meanings and values of good citizenship,”
According to Bu-Allay, the committee will also participate in a corner called “This is Bahrain”, which will take place on Thursday from 4pm until 11pm and will include a screening a documentary that highlights achievements of the Kingdom of Bahrain, in addition to reviewing the most important sporting achievements of Bahrain champions in various external competitions.
Bu-Allay assured that Bahraini star sports figures like sprinter Ali Khamis and swimmier Zain Tariq Jumaa, in addition to families of BOC officials and employees will take part in the corner.
