The Organising Committee’s Marketing and Publications Committee, headed by Hassan Abdullatif, has made a visit to Khalifa Park and inspected all the locations to host the shows set up in advance.
Some of the activities to be performed at the park include a walkathon, sport folk games, children games, a private theatre and a skeet board show.
The organizing committee hired a group of volunteers who will be divided across different locations of the park to supervise the competitions and shows, which will be held for the first time this year in an attempt to make the 2014 Olympic Day a huge success.
Moreover, the organisers will also distribute 800 certificate, issued by the IOC, to all the participants joining the celebration, which aims to reinforce the principles of Olympism and encourage all to practice different kind of sports.
This five-hour event is scheduled to commence at 5pm and targets all the family members and the athletes, while invitations were sent to different national sports federations to take part in the Olympic Day, which is celebrated by millions from around the world.
