?Eighty coaches have successfully registered for the a level three National Coaching Programme Level 1 course, organized by the Bahrain Olympic Committee’s (BOC) Sports Training and Development Section.
Set to take place at the Sports Training and Development Section premises in Juffair, the course features two modules, with the first set to be held from September 14 to 20. The second and concluding module of the course is scheduled from October 12 to 18.
The first module will discuss planning training session while focusing on several points like the content, the coach personality, his leadership style and how to develop a philosophy for a  coach and its influence on the team.
Other issues to be highlighted at this part of the course include methods of dealing and working with different age groups, in addition to the stages of growth and development that occur to individuals and physiological changes psychological, social, role and functions of the coach.
It also discusses the basis of movement sciences and the important elements in performance monitoring, analysis skills, physical setting and energy systems, in addition to mental preparations, the importance of setting goals.
In order to pass the course, the participants must attend at least 90 per cent of the sessions, in addition to passing the final exam.
It’s worth noting that the Olympic Committee has bought the rights of the national program for coaches and translate it into Arabic in order to achieve the greatest benefit for the national technical staff.
