The first course, scheduled to commence on June 19, is within the annual plan of the BOC’s Sports Training and Development Section and embodies the long-term partnership with the Ministry of Education’s Physical Education, Scouting and Guidance Directorate.
Courses will cover a variety of specialties, such as physical fitness, basketball, athletics and table tennis. Instructors are Saeeda Ateeq (physical fitness), Ruqaya Al Ghasra (athletics), Ali Hussain (basketball) and Boris Banicek (table tennis).
Sports Training and Development Section head Nabeel Taha stressed the importance of these joint courses to develop the levels of the physical education teachers for the rich information they provide in different specialties.
According to Taha, these courses which started in 2007 have successfully attracted and benefited many men’s and women’s physical education teachers who were eventually graduated from their respective disciplines.
“The Sports Training and Development Section is keen to bring the best specialized instructors with vast experience in order for the participants to make maximum benefit,” added Taha.
